Lalique Pan and Nymph

This Lalique statuette features the god Pan, arm in arm with a nymph, perched on a rocky outcrop. The model's official title is "Faune".

In classical mythology, Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, hunting and music. He is also the companion to the nymphs (Nymphs were minor female deities of nature, each usually associated with a particular location).

This Lalique design dates to the post-war period of Lalique, and is the design work of Marc Lalique (Rene's son).
The design dates to c1950, and is no longer in production.

The figurine measures approximately 14 cm (5.5") tall, and stands on an oval base 5.2 cm x 6 cm (2" x 2.25").
"Lalique France" is engraved to the base.

The figurine is in excellent condition. There are no chips cracks or repairs.
There is no box.
