Large hand painted "Fruit" vase - Derek Wilson

This large baluster vase is decorated with fruit, hand painted by artist Derek Wilson.
The vase is signed.

The vase is made of bone china.

Derek started as an apprentice decorator/artist with Royal Worcester in the 1950s.
He formed the company "Dunheved" along with his partner Sheila Whitcombe (a Royal Worcester modeller) when they left Worcester and moved to Cornwall.
Derek now normally concentrates on wildlife portraits ... Sheila specialises in flowers.

The vase carries the backstamp "Dunheved bone china England" and is dated 2002.

The vase measures approximately 14 cm (5.5") at its widest, by 28.5 cm (11.25") tall.

The vase is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.
