Antique early Caughley "Temple" pattern, c1780

Antique early Caughley porcelain "Temple" pattern fluted tea bowl and saucer.
The design dates to c1780.
Neither piece carries any factory or workman marks.

The tea bowl measures 8.5 cm (3.25") in diameter across the top by 5 cm (2") tall. The saucer has a diameter of 13.5 cm (5.25").
All measurements are approximate.

Both pieces are in very good condition, with no major chips or cracks. The footrim of the saucer has a small fleabite flake chip.
The printed design is crisp and well defined.
The gilt trim is worn/rubbed to both the lip ofthe cup and the edge of the saucer.
