Silver handled letter opener, Sheffield 1924

£55.00
This letter opener is a clever piece of modern re-cycling/re-purposing. The handle is a silver handle from an old cutlery set. It is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, 1924, and the maker Harrison Fisher & Co. The hallmarks are worn, but still quite readable. The opener's blade is a new steel blade that has been securely married to the handle. The letter opener's handle measures 8.6 cm (3.4") long. The blade adds a further 11.8 cm (4.6") to the length. All measurements are approximate. The letter opener is not presented in any relevant packaging. Please study all photos as these form an important part of the description.
