Greenock Scottish provincial toddy ladle, c1818

£210.00

Antique Greenock Scottish provincial silver toddy ladle, with monogrammed finial.

The toddy ladle bears the hallmarks for James Burrell (partially illegible), and the Greenock anchor town mark twice.
The Richard Turner reference book on Scottish provincial silver dates James' work to c1818.

The toddy ladle is 15.5 cm (6.1") long. The bowl is 4 cm (1.6") in diameter and 1.5 cm (.6") deep. It weighs 30 grams.
All measurements are approximate.

The toddy ladle is in very good condition, with just light overall scratching commensurate with age and usage.

Please study all photos as these form an important part of the description.
