Antique Victorian silver waiter/card tray, 1899

£210.00
This small antique Victorian oval silver waiter/card tray is of plain design atop four simple feet. The tray is clearly hallmarked Chester, 1899, and the makers George Nathan and Ridley Hayes. All marks are crisp and clear, apart from the maker's mark which is a little rubbed but still readable. George Nathan and Ridley Hayes operated from Icknield Street and Howard Street, Birmingham, and Hatton Garden, London. The oval waiter/card tray is 16.2 cm (6.4") by 12.2 cm (4.8"), and stands 2.1 cm (.8") high. It weighs 121 grams. All measurements are approximate. The salver is in very good condition for its age/usage, with light surface scratching and a few dings to the finish. Please study all photos as these form an important part of the description.
