£155.00
This antique Victorian silver card case features a plain lined design incorporating a vacant round cartouche.
The card case is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1896, and the makers Deakin & Francis.
Deakin & Francis operated from Regent Place, Birmingham. The company was founded by Stephen Henry Deakin and John Horace Francis.
The card case measures 4.9 cm (1.9") by 8.5 cm (3.3") by .7 cm (.3"). It weighs 42 grams.
All measurements are approximate.
The silver is in very good overall condition. The lid hinge operates well, and the lid is a snug fit. There is some light surface scratching and a few small depressions, commensurate with age and usage.
Please study all photos as these form an important part of the description.
